Understanding 'rm failed for -f'

I've developed a game for android, using Unity.

Up and till recently, I've been able to deploy the game to an old HTC desire device perfectly fine (whether using Unity's built in 'Build and Run' option or using adb).

However, after adding in the 'SOOMLA' plug in for in-app purchases, I've started finding that after installing to the phone, upon running the game it simply crashes. If I install via adb I get this output to the command prompt after installation:

Success
rm failed for -f, Read only file system

Beyond basic common sense, I don't understand what this line indicates.

The game runes fine installed to other devices, so I am assuming this is a problem with the phone itself (and hence I'm not getting assistance from the friendly chaps over at Soomla).

Anything I can do to cure this?
